Nancy O'Dell's career began in Myrtle Beach South Carolina as an anchor and news reporter for WPDE-TV. Later, she was a morning reporter and anchor for WCBD TV. O'Dell's articles in Charleston, about how the Charleston police acted in DUI cases with leniency resulted in an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division. The inquiry led to a stronger instruction for the state's authorities.
